This foil packet dinner makes it so easy to get a lot of nutrients from various vegetables without having to put multiple pots on the fire. Along with the fact this is a very delicious meal idea, another plus is that you can just eat out the same foil paper after dinner is finished cooking. Here is how to make this yummy dinner for yourself.

Ingredients

2 Regular-sized Irish Potatoes
4 Tablespoons Chopped Sweet Peppers
2 Regular-sized Tomatoes
1 Regular-sized Onion
1 Dozen Green Beans
1 Regular-sized Carrot
3 Teaspoon Dried Oregano Leaves
3 Teaspoon Dried Basil Leaves
1 Teaspoon Crushed Peppers
2 Tablespoon Butter
Salt to taste

Step 1

First, you will need to wash your vegetables properly. You can use some salt water to sanitize them, or some vinegar. Just put the vegetables in a bowl of water and some vinegar or salt.

Step 2

There is no special way to chop the vegetables. After peeling what needs to be peeled, simply shop the veggies to your desire. However, the thicker your chop the potatoes, the longer they will take to process.

Step 3

I like to blanch my potatoes and carrots before roasting them. It speeds up the process and makes them more tender. You can skip this step, but it will take more time to process them properly.

Step 4

Lay out a large piece of aluminum foil paper. Then use a generous amount of butter to grease it. This will prevent the vegetables from sticking onto it while being roasted.

Step 5

Toss all the vegetables onto the greased foil paper. If you like to use a lot of butter like me, put some butter on top of the vegetables. This step is not necessary, but it sure does add some more buttery flavor to the meal.

Step 6

It is now time to spice up the vegetables. Sprinkle the oregano, basil, and some peppers. Add salt to taste, and feel free to add other herbs and spices that you like.

Step 7

Wrap and cover the vegetables properly with the foil paper. You want to keep everything contained and prevent leakages when baking.

Step 8

You can choose to roast your veggies in your oven or on your grill. It really does not matter that much. But if you want a smokey flavor, you should do it on your grill.

Step 9

Let the veggies roast for about 45 minutes to an hour- give or take. Just check them to see if they are properly cooked.

When they are finished roasting, let cool for a few minutes. Then enjoy your dinner right out of the foil wrap packet, or put on a plate.
