French toast is such a delicious breakfast recipe. Who can refuse a good slice of warm French toast?

French toast is a favorite for most people when they are out dining, and it is also a common breakfast recipe in most households.

But wouldn’t you be happy if you can get your French toast to taste like the one you had from the buffet at that hotel when you were on vacation? Here is an easy recipe for making your own breakfast French toast at home.

Ingredients

3 Slices of homemade bread or store-bought sliced bread
1 Cup sweetened soy or almond milk
2 Teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon of cinnamon powder
2 Tablespoon of butter

Step 1

Of course, you are going to need to cut the bread if you aren’t using store-bought sliced bread. The thicker the slices, the better. This is to prevent the slices from becoming soggy. So make sure to cut thicks slices, or buy sliced bread with thick slices.

Step 2

Pour the milk and vanilla into a bowl and mix together. Then add the cinnamon powder to the mixture and incorporate properly. This is what you will be using to moisten the bread and give it flavor.

Step 3

Next, heat a skillet pan with butter. It is best to heat it medium heat to prevent the butter from drying out quickly and making the pan vulnerable to be burnt.

Step 4

While you are heating the skillet, prepare the bread slices by immersing them into the milk and spices mixture. Make sure that both sides of each slice get wet properly in the mixture.

Step 5

You don’t want to be putting dripping wet slices into the skillet. So drain excess liquid from the slices after dipping them in the milk mixture.

Step 6

Put the slices into the heated skillet. Brown on one side for about thirty seconds. Flip over to the next side, and brown for another thirty seconds.

It is best to have your French toast while they or still warm. If you have leftovers, you can reheat those slices in a heated skillet or your oven when you are ready to eat them.

Enjoy!
