Stains on your carpet can make your home look so miserable.  These stains might be the result of red wine, pet urine, and spills from your kids’ drinks.  The first thing you might think about is where are you going to get the money from to pay a professional carpet cleaner.  You should not have to hurt your head about that problem, because there is always a solution to a problem.

There are many other ways to clean your carpet stains without calling the professionals.   Many common household products can be used to take out these stains. Even a popular drink can do the trick.  Below are 5 ways to get rid of your carpet stains.

Beer

Getting tea stains out of your carpet might seem so impossible. Would you think that a bottle of beer can remove the stains?  Yes, it can.  Throw a little beer on top of the stains. Depending on the size of the stain spots, you might need to use a lot of beer or just a little.  Lightly rub in the beer into the stains on the carpet until the stains will disappear. Repeat the process as much as necessary.

Vinegar

Vinegar is used as a general cleaning product in the home.  It is very good at removing light stains from your carpet.   To remove the stains from your carpet, mix two tablespoons of salt and one cup of vinegar together.  After putting this solution on the stains, let it dry, then vacuum.

Baking Soda And Milk

Mix a small amount of baking soda and milk to form a paste.  Apply the paste to the ink stains and allow to dry.  After drying, brush the area with a stiff brush, and then vacuum.

Vinegar And Dish Soap

For light stains on your carpet, you may use regular white vinegar and dawn dish soap.  In a spray bottle, add 1/4 cup of vinegar and 2 teaspoons of dawn dish soap.  Fill the spray bottle with water.  Liberally spray the stained area and leave to soak for 5-10 minutes.  Use a clean dry towel to blot the stains until they are removed.

Vinegar + Water + Borax

Coffee stains on your carpet is a common thing. Especially if there are coffee drinkers in the home.  To get out these coffee stains, you can start by blotting the stains with a dry towel.  Mix one part vinegar, one part water, and a generous amount of borax in a spray bottle.  Saturate the stain spot well with the mixture.  Leave on for about 15 minutes, and rinse well.  If the stain does not completely disappear, repeat until everything is gone.

I hope these tips will be helpful to you and that your carpet stains will be able to get corrected without a headache.
